Mapping cognitive translation and interpreting studies: A bibliometric approach

This article identifies the specific characteristics of Cognitive Translation and Interpreting Studies (CTIS) as a branch (TIS), adopting bibliometric approach. The main data source for this study was Bibliography (BITRA), which – at September 2019 included more than 77,000 TIS records, covering diversity languages document types used in research. BTRA is only database to feature citing information. CTIS-related records were analysed, those published between 1976 2015 compared with whole corpus research output same period again, registered BITRA. Specifically, we analysed: (a) general features evolution CTIS publications over time (by thematic co-occurrence, by title content words, format language); (b) authorship, focusing on co-authorship most productive authors; (c) citation patterns documents, including brief analysis its cited authors publications; (d) accessibility through ratio documents open access. These aspects analysed both synchronically diachronically so describe identify any changes time. Our results yield first overview from perspective provide methodological point departure future studies area.
